Intro to Climbing
Learn the basics of top rope belaying, knot tying, and climbing technique in this hands-on class. Designed for those with no previous climbing experience, this course teaches the necessary skills required to climb independently at Onsight Rock Gym. Upon completion of this class and after proper demonstration of learned skills, you will be receive a temporary Top Rope Belay Tag for the day. You are then free to climb for the remainder of the day or until your arms give out! You must return on a separate day to take the official Top Rope Belay and Climbing Test.
Prerequisites: None • Length: 90 minutes • Includes: For guests: additional return day pass + rental gear to use within 2 weeks of your class date.

Cost: Members: One class FREE, Non-Members: $35
Offerings: Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:00-7:30pm, Sundays: 1:00-2:30pm

Family Intro to Climbing
This class is a perfect way for a family to spend quality time together doing something new, challenging, and fun! During this 2 hour session, one of our experienced staff members will belay the kids as they climb while the adults take our Intro to Climbing Class and learn the necessary skills to top rope belay. Upon completion of the belay class and once the adults have properly demonstrated learned skills, they will receive a temporary Top Rope Belay Tag for the day. The whole family can then climb together for the remainder of the day! No experience is necessary. Adults must return on a separate day to take the official Top Rope Belay and Climbing Test.
Prerequisites: Children must be 6 years of age or older • Length: 2 hours
Includes: FREE return day pass for all participants to use within 2 weeks of your class date.
PLEASE NOTE: Adults must book with a minimum of 1 child and a maximum of 4 children.

Lead Climbing 1
This introductory 2-part class provides a comprehensive instruction on indoor lead climbing and belaying. Lead climbing is often the next step in rock climbing for the seasoned top rope climber and offers a new level of mental and physical challenges. During this class, we will cover all the basic techniques and skills of lead climbing. You will learn to how to safely take a lead fall and how to provide a soft catch in the event of a fall. We will make every effort to emphasize efficiency and risk management. Upon completion of this class, most participants should be ready to take the Lead Belay and Climbing Test. Participants must return on a separate day to take the Lead Belay and Climbing Test.
Prerequisites: Top Rope Belay Tag, Ability to climb 5.10b. If only one person is signed up for the class with only 48 hours remaining until the scheduled start time, the class will need to be rescheduled. • Length: 2 classes, 2 hours each

Lead Climbing 2
A perfect follow up class to the completion of Lead Climbing 1. Come and learn how to elevate and improve yourself as a sport climber. One of our high level sport climbers will cover the essential mental and physical techniques necessary to climb your best on the sharp end. We will also teach you how to smoothly and comfortably catch your partners on lead by discussing and practicing some advanced lead belaying techniques.

Offerings: Fridays (Once a Month): 7:00-9:00 PM
Learn how to move effortlessly on the wall at any angle! In this class, you will learn the fundamentals of energy conservation on the wall, including but not limited to, route reading, body positioning, footwork, and rests.
Prerequisites: None! Anyone is welcome • Length: 1 hour

Offerings: Mondays (Once a Month): 7:00-8:00pm
The Technique 2 class is a great follow-up for Technique 1 or for those climbing at the 5.9-5.10 level who feel stuck! In this class you can learn about body positioning for climbing on slopers, using advanced footwork such as the heel hook and drop knee, and improving overall efficiency in climbing technique.
Prerequisites: None. Ability to climb 5.9 or Technique 1 is recommended • Length: 1.5 hours
